Common Issues

In our research 90% of streaming issues are the devices, lack of maintenance or slow internet connections. We have compiled a list of the most common issues with streaming iptv services.

 No Service

From time to time, our servers or specific channels may experience brief outages lasting anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. These interruptions are usually due to necessary maintenance, updates, or technical issues on the backend. Unfortunately, we do not have full control over the timing of these events.

Because most outages are short-lived, we are unable to send individual notifications for every minor disruption. However, if we are performing a major update or if the outage is expected to last longer, we will send a direct message or email with updates and any required steps.

If you notice the service is down, please wait 10–15 minutes and try again. In most cases, the service will resume on its own during this time.

Please refrain from continuing to send emails and trouble tickets, that will only delay the process when we have 1000’s of other users doing the same thing.

No Data

This "No Data" error in the Stream Boss app is super common and almost always ties back to one (or both) of these root causes:

  1. Cache/build-up overload – The app hoards temporary files, thumbnails, and metadata over time. Without regular clearing, it hits a wall and just shows "No Data" even though the content is still there on the servers.

  2. Device overheating on non-4K-Max hardware – If you're running Stream Boss on anything other than a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (or a very high-end Android TV box), the decoder gets stressed trying to pull 4K HDR streams + Dolby Atmos + all the metadata. Once the SoC throttles from heat, the app can't parse the content lists anymore → "No Data".

Quick temporary fix (works 95% of the time):

  1. Open Stream Boss → Settings → Update Content (forces a full re-index).

  2. Back out to the main home screen.

  3. Tap the house icon (top left) to fully reload the UI.

  4. Look at the top row of icons → tap the refresh/update arrow (usually a circular arrow or cloud with arrow).

  5. Let it sit for 30–60 seconds while it re-populates. Content will magically reappear.

This only lasts until the next overheat cycle (usually 1–3 days of heavy use).

Permanent fixes (pick one):

Option A – Hardware upgrade (recommended)

Get a Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023 or newer)

Option B – Aggressive weekly maintenance routine

  • Stream Boss → Settings → Clear Cache + Clear Data (you'll have to log back in)

  • Then force the Update Content + refresh steps above

If you have AT&T as your Internet provider please turn off Armour security

This is a result of saying “NO” to any prompt during install mainly the question of allowing Stream Boss to access photos and media. This is not your photo and media; it’s the images and content that’s on our app that you would be blocked from seeing if you choose no. So always choose “YES”.

It is very recommended that you do regularly weekly and monthly updates.

Daily can be as little as going to settings and clicking on update content. This will push through any new content that has been recently added keep miner cache to a bare minimal.
