IPTV FAQ

Is IPTV legal?

IPTV technology itself is completely legal — it is the same protocol used by mainstream telecom operators, hotel chains, and corporate broadcast networks. The legality of any specific service depends on whether the operator holds the appropriate licensing for the content it distributes and on the laws of the country where the subscriber resides. The Stream Boss operates as a legitimate subscription service with a published DMCA policy and a clear acceptable-use agreement. Subscribers remain responsible for ensuring that their viewing complies with the broadcasting and content laws of their local jurisdiction. Hat

Can I use my subscription on multiple devices?

1 subscription can be used on multiple devices, but you can watch only on 2 devices at the same time.

How long before I can use service?

We activate all new accounts in 30 minutes to 12 hours after the invoice is paid and our agreement is signed.

What is IPTV and how does it work?

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is a delivery method that streams live TV channels and on-demand video over the public internet using the same TCP/IP transport that powers normal web traffic, instead of relying on coaxial cable, satellite dish, or terrestrial RF broadcast. Each channel is encoded as an HLS or MPEG-TS stream and sent on demand from an edge server to your device — there is no broadcast schedule pushing every channel into your home at once. The Stream Boss operates a redundant CDN of edge servers across 8 global regions, so the player automatically connects to the nearest healthy node and re-routes if any single server is degraded, which is what makes 4K/UHD streaming stable even during peak hours.

Can I record IPTV?

Yes. Most IPTV players — including TiviMate Premium, IPTV Smarters Pro, XCIPTV, and Perfect Player — support scheduled and on-demand recording of live streams to internal storage, an SD card, or an attached USB drive. Stream Boss streams are compatible with the built-in recording feature of every major player and the recordings are saved as standard MP4 or TS files that play back in any media app, including VLC and Plex. Recording length, the number of simultaneous recordings, and EPG-based scheduling features depend on the player you use; TiviMate Premium currently offers the most complete DVR experience on Android TV.

What internet speed is required for 4K streaming?

For buffer-free 4K/UHD streaming on The Stream Boss, a minimum stable internet speed of 50 Mbps is recommended per concurrent stream. For Full HD (1080p) content, 25 Mbps is sufficient, and standard HD (720p) works comfortably on 10 Mbps. A wired Ethernet connection is strongly preferred over Wi-Fi for consistent performance, since Wi-Fi interference and signal loss are the most common causes of buffering on otherwise fast home connections. If your router is more than three years old, upgrading to a Wi-Fi 6 router or moving the streaming device closer to the access point will produce a noticeable drop in stuttering.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, The Stream Boss offers a free 24-hour trial with instant access and no credit card required. You get the full live channel lineup of 5000+ streams identical to the paid service, so you can confirm 4K stability on your own device before paying. The trial is delivered through email within minutes of request, and there is no auto-conversion to a paid plan when it expires.

What should I do if IPTV stops working suddenly?

First, check if your subscription expired. Then, test your internet connection. Restart the app and your device. Clear app cache. If still not working, contact your provider's support—there may be server maintenance or account issues.

Can I fix buffering without upgrading my internet?

Yes! Try: Using wired Ethernet instead of WiFi, closing background apps, lowering video quality in app settings, restarting your router, or using a VPN to prevent ISP throttling. These often solve buffering without needing faster internet.
